Choosing the Right Shoes
Knowing your shoe size is very important. Wearing a shoe that is too big or too small may cause foot complications later. The best way to find your size is to go to a shoe store and have one of the employees measure your foot. Foot Wet Test
To determine a foot’s shape, you can do a wet test. Stick your foot in water and step on a surface that clearly shows wet surfaces. If your foot print shows the entire sole of your foot with no arch then you are flat footed or have a small arch. If your footprint is very thin with a big arch then you have a high arch foot. If your foot is in between, then you have a neutral arch. Ask a salesman to determine which shoes are made for which arches. The arch determines how you roll your foot when you run. Buying a shoe that compensates for your arch will help your balance and support your foot when you run or walk.
Replace Shoes Often
