Losing Weight Lifting
Believe it or not, doing more cardio or eating less is not the key to losing weight and staying fit. Yes, doing both will allow you to lose weight, but there is a much easier and more beneficial way. Weightlift! We know what you are saying, “I don’t want to look bulky or buff”. Trust us, you won’t become the hulk by doing weightlifting. It is very hard to gain muscle mass, especially for women.
Why is weight lifting a good idea?
Weightlifting not only tones your body, it’s also a great workout. It gets your blood pumping and is just as effective as a cardio workout. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn throughout the day. Instead of working really hard on cardio, doing simple weight lifting exercises can help you burn the fat and keep it off.
Celebrities do it too
Almost all celebrities weight lift to some degree. You may not know it because you don’t see the muscle you would imagine a weight lifter to have, but as stated before, you can still weight lift without becoming bulky. The media glamorizes dieting and it is evident that it’s not working. Don’t fall into the trap of diets and look into weight lifting.
You Don’t Need to Be a Body Builder
When lifting weights as your workout, you really don’t need to lift heavy weights. Just doing simple exercises with low weight is very beneficial to your health. Just make sure you have the proper form or else you may not get the full potential from your workout.
Join a gym
Don’t just weight lift at home. You need proper equipment to do anything beneficial. Yes, you can workout at home, but only if you know what you are doing. Going to the gym will allow you to benefit from not only the equipment, but also from the staff. A proper trainer or experienced workout partner can really do wonders to your workout. If you are serious about getting healthy and staying fit, you should look into weight lifting.
